This COST Action brings together a pan-European, interdisciplinary network to investigate the adverse effects of pesticides linked to oxidative stress on both human health and ecosystems within the One Health framework.

Within the One Health framework, our pan-European Action tackles this challenge by identifying pesticide-related adverse effects linked to oxidative stress that matter for both humans and the environment. We develop innovative research strategies based on Adverse Outcome Pathways (AOPs) to better understand and predict these impacts.

Action keywords

Pesticides – Oxidative Stress – Adverse Outcome Pathways (AOPs) – Ecotoxicology – Toxicology

Focusing particularly on pesticides that target mitochondria, the Action develops innovative research strategies based on Adverse Outcome Pathways (AOPs), fostering collaboration across ecotoxicology, toxicology, bioinformatics, epidemiology, and risk assessment.

By working with academia, industry, regulators, and civil society, and in alignment with international initiatives, the Action aims to support science-based regulation and informed decision-making.
