Meeting Overview
The CAPSTONE Kick-off Meeting and subsequent Working Group sessions marked an important first step in aligning the Action’s objectives, strengthening collaboration, and setting the groundwork for upcoming scientific activities and outputs.
Day 1 – Kick-off Meeting (April 20)
The CAPSTONE Kick-off Meeting marked the official launch of the Action and set the foundation for future collaboration. The meeting opened with an overview and strategic roadmap presented by the Action Chair, outlining CAPSTONE’s vision and objectives.
Working Group (WG1–WG6) leaders and co-leaders introduced their respective groups, presenting their tasks, progress to date, and planned activities. Key coordination roles were also highlighted, including an overview of communication channels and dissemination activities, as well as information on grants, bursaries, budget, and upcoming opportunities such as Training Schools and Short-Term Scientific Missions (STSMs).
Day 2 – WG1 Meeting (April 21)
The WG1 meeting focused on in-depth discussion of the group’s objectives and strategy. The WG1 leaders and co-leaders presented detailed plans and facilitated discussions among members, leading to the alignment of research priorities and the development of initial plans for collaborative outputs, particularly in the area of oxidative stress biomarkers in ecotoxicology.
Day 2 – WG2 Meeting (April 21)
The WG2 meeting provided a platform for detailed planning and coordination of activities within the group. Leaders and co-leaders outlined strategic directions and engaged members in shaping future work. Discussions resulted in the refinement of approaches and the planning of upcoming scientific outputs related to oxidative stress biomarkers in toxicology.
